The Electronics Watch Annual Conference

The Electronics Watch annual conference is our marquee event of the year. It facilitates learning and exchange among practitioners working at the intersection of socially responsible public procurement and labour rights, and provides a unique opportunity for public buyers and monitors from electronics manufacturing and mining regions to meet face-to-face. This exchange increases awareness about the issues faced by workers, and how to effectively addresse them through the public procurement process.

Sponsors help pay for:

  • Travel for Electronics Watch monitoring partners from Bolivia, India, the Philippines, Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, Malaysia, Taiwan and elsewhere to participate in the conference and share their insights with public buyers.
  • A sustainable conference, with fair trade drinks and catering, recycled materials, and a minimum of waste.
  • The behind the scenes logistical support—the unsung heroines and heroes who help make events like this a success.

A wide range of organisations that support the Electronics Watch mission can sponsor the conference, including affiliates, academic institutions, and other public sector organisations. However, in order to safeguard our independence from industry, no organisation that could have a material stake in the outcome of an Electronics Watch investigation can sponsor the conference.
