Electronics Watch welcomes new affiliate Transport for NSW in Australia
Electronics Watch is delighted to welcome Transport for NSW (TfNSW), the lead agency of the New South Wales Transport cluster in Australia, to our Low Emission Vehicles (LEV) Programme and, starting next year, as an affiliate.
TfNSW's role is to deliver critical public transport services to passengers, customers and communities across New South Wales.
"Transport for NSW is proud to join Electronics Watch's Low Emission Vehicles Programme and commit to becoming an affiliate from January 2026. As part of the NSW Government's commitment to achieving net zero emissions by 2050, Transport is in the process of transitioning the state's 8,000 plus diesel and natural gas public transport buses to battery electric buses.
Electronics Watch's LEV Programme will strengthen our battery electric bus supply chain transparency, help us integrate scalable modern slavery practice into our procurements, and drive measurable improvements in human rights due diligence across our operations. It reinforces Transport's commitment to model responsible LEV procurement in Australia and lead the NSW Government's efforts to combat modern slavery," said Chief Procurement Officer Bern O'Regan.
"We are delighted to welcome Transport for NSW to the LEVP and as a soon-to-be affiliate of Electronics Watch. We look forward to ongoing collaboration that will increase our collective leverage, and drive positive outcomes for supply chain workers," said Electronics Watch Executive Director Björn Claeson.
TfNSW is the first entity in Australia to join the LEV programme and will be our seventh Australian affiliate.
Please join us in welcoming them to Electronics Watch!
