Webinar ‘Electronics Watch for Public Buyers’ attracts over 80 registrants from 15 countries

European public buyers had the opportunity to delve deeper into Electronics Watch this week by participating in the European-wide webinar, 'Electronics Watch for Public Buyers', an online introduction to Electronics Watch addressing the monitoring methodology, the contract clauses that affiliates append to ICT contracts, as well as member benefits and requirements.

There were 83 registrants for the webinar from 15 countries. As well as hearing from representatives of Electronics Watch on how the model works, participants heard two perspectives from a public buyer and a civil society organization that works closely with electronics workers, and had their questions answered live by the various expert speakers including Andy Davies, the Director of the London Universities Purchasing Consortium (LUPC), a founding member of Electronics Watch, and Sheung So, the senior trainer of Labor Education and Service Network (LESN), a 14-year old independent NGO in Hong Kong, providing labour services and labour rights education in mainland China.

The presentations from the webinar are available on the Electronics Watch website here. If you would be interested in participating in the next webinar, or would like to arrange a webinar in your language, or simply to find out more about affiliating, please contact: affiliate@electronicswatch.org.
