Electronics Watch will be present at the following events in March and May - if you're in the area, why not look us up!

On March 10-11, Electronics Watch will participate in an expert seminar on socially responsible public procurement in Vienna, organised by Südwind.  The seminar, which brings together experts on socially responsible public procurement (SRPP) from across Europe, focuses on the impact of SRPP on the market.

On March 15, Electronics Watch will participate in a seminar on sustainable public procurement in Warsaw, organized by Centrum CSR and Friedrich Ebert Stiftung. The seminar will address a range of issues, from "tackling the problem of lowest price criteria to monitoring global supply chains" and will include Representatives of public institutions, trade unions and NGOs from Western Europe, Norway, and Central Europe.  The seminar is open to the public, and will take place at Limanowskiego Street 23 in The Andrzej Bączkowski "Dialog" Centre for Social Partnership.

On May 25, Electronics Watch will participate in a panel on "Smoke, Suicide, Slavery:  The "Social" in Sustainability," at the Sustainable Purchasing Leadership Council's 2016 Summit, in Washington DC. This panel will highlight the risk of human rights abuses—the smoke, suicide and slavery—in key sectors like apparel, electronics, and food.  Panelists, including representatives of Georgetown University Law Center and the International Corporate Accountability Roundtable, will outline the need for effective practices that public sector buyers can take to mitigate and prevent risk.
